On October 12, the Control Science and Engineering Discipline Strategy Seminar was held in Conference Room 313 of the Electrical Building. Professor Chen Wenhua of Loughborough University in the UK, Professor Xu Shengyuan of Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Dean Chen Mou of the School of Automation of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Professor Fei Shumin of Southeast University, Vice Dean Li Shihua of the School of Automation of Southeast University, and Dean Wu Xiaotai of Anhui Engineering University were invited to provide suggestions for the development of the discipline. .
Dean Ding Shihong of EIE, subject leaders Liu Guohai and Zhu Jiqiu, and representatives of some young backbone teachers of the school attended the seminar, which was chaired by Ding Shihong.
At the seminar, Dean Ding Shihong extended a warm welcome to the experts attending the meeting, and then introduced the current status of the college's disciplines, project results, platform construction, talent training and other aspects. The expert representatives attending the meeting affirmed the achievements of the college and disciplines at the current stage, and put forward valuable opinions and suggestions on multi-disciplinary integration, young teacher introduction and training, discipline development planning, etc. Professor Chen Wenhua even made suggestions through SWOT analysis. The college seizes opportunities, finds its positioning, unifies its thinking, and gathers strength to find ways and breakthroughs in the mutual promotion and integration of key disciplines in the college.
This seminar provided direction and guidance for the college to further condense the subject characteristics, plan future development, and enhance the connotation of the subject. Teachers from EIE expressed that they would further sort out the current status of subject development, concentrate the subject resources of the college, focus on integration and innovation, and promote talent attraction. Education, in response to the school’s call to support and care for farmers, form characteristics in the direction of agricultural electrification and automation in the future, and contribute to subject development and school construction.
