Wang Chao, the mayor of Aiyuan Town, warmly received the teachers and students of our school. Ye Tao, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of EIE of Jiangsu University, and Xie Yu, member of the Party Committee of Aiyuan Town, Siyang County, unveiled the "Jiangsu University Farming Education Base". Teachers and students of EIE Representatives of party members participated in the event.

Teachers and students of the college learned about the development process of Aiyuan Town's agricultural industry in the "Town Living Room" and "Centennial Pear Orchard" respectively, watched the rural revitalization theme photography exhibition, and conducted farming experience labor practices such as hoeing and turning soil. While carrying out farming education, teachers and students of the college also visited red exhibition halls such as "Love Garden Story", "New Fourth Army Independent Brigade" and "General Square", and received a vivid red party history education.
Aiyuan Town is an old revolutionary area and is named after the former site of the "Aiyuan" Martyrs Cemetery. During the Anti-Japanese War, Aiyuan Town was the seat of the Siyang County Anti-Japanese Democratic Government and the location of the New Fourth Army's independent brigade. Aiyuan Town has a developed fruit industry. There are more than 900 pear trees in Guolin Village that are more than 100 years old, and 7 pear trees that are more than 200 years old, so it is called the "Century Pear Orchard".
