In order to help the new graduate students understand the importance of career planning and do a good job in career planning, EIE held a pre competition guidance lecture in the 415 lecture hall of the electrical building on October 28. Li Xiaobo, the former deputy director of the Mental Health Education Center of Jiangsu University, was invited to give a keynote speech, and Wang Yuanyuan, Luo Yuanyuan and all 2022 graduate students participated. The lecture was presided over by Ye Tao, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of the Academy. During the lecture, Mr. Li Xiaobo interacted with the students to ask why they chose to go to graduate school. The students present responded in succession to express their reasons for going to graduate school. Secondly, Mr. Li raised three thought-provoking questions, "Do graduate students need to make career planning? What is career planning? How to make career planning?" With these questions in mind, he gave pre competition guidance to the graduate students of the Electrical Institute on why to participate in the career planning contest, what is the core of the career planning contest, the process of graduate students' career planning, and the writing essentials of the graduate students' career planning book. Finally, Ye Tao encouraged the majority of graduate students to do a good job in personal career planning, strengthen learning, improve scientific research ability, integrate personal development into the construction of the motherland, and realize personal value. Through this lecture, the students expressed that they had benefited a lot, which not only eliminated the confusion of graduate students about the prospects, but also made graduate students better understand the importance of career planning and master the methods of career planning, and also laid a good foundation for guiding graduate students to actively participate in the career planning competition. EIE will continue to rely on thematic education activities in student career planning, employment and entrepreneurship guidance to help students establish a correct concept of employment and career selection, guide students to set goals, and contribute to socialist modernization.
