On January 14, EIE held the "Haiyun Cup" FPGA Innovation Design Competition of Jiangsu University sponsored by Haiyun Jiexun in the hall on the third floor of the electrical building. Three teachers, Xu Leijun, Zhao Bubrian and Bai Xue, were invited to participate in the competition. A total of 30 groups participated in the competition. Before the competition, the contestants have prepared their own entries in the competition venue and carried out the final debugging. This competition includes many excellent works based on FPGA, such as simple vehicle traffic management system, digital identification system, simple oscilloscope, electronic scale, music player, vending machine, VGA games, etc. The three judges and teachers carefully evaluated each work and communicated with the contestants. In addition to the contestants, many students who are interested in FPGA also went to the competition site to observe, and the competition site was very hot.
After the on-site review, the three judges, teachers and contestants moved to Room 212 of the Electrical Institute for a PPT defense. After the defense, the teacher did not grade each group's works, and announced the results of the competition on the spot. The purpose of this activity is to encourage students to create excellent works with FPGA to promote the use of FPGA, and at the same time, to exercise students' scientific research creativity, cultivate students' interest in scientific research and stimulate their love for scientific research.
