On November 10, 2021, in order to promote the academic guidance of 2019 students, and further implement the "Jiangsu University Academic Tutor Management Measures" and the "Jiangsu University Academic Tutor Assessment Implementation Plan" issued by the university, the 2019 academic mentor work meeting was held in Room 313. Ye Tao, deputy secretary of the party committee of the college, academic tutors and relevant counselors of all majors in 2019 attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Ye Tao.
At the meeting, Ye Tao said that the 2019 students are in a very critical period of academic advancement. Therefore, on behalf of the college, he expressed his gratitude to the academic tutors for their work and academic guidance. According to the current work situation and special time point, Ye Tao summarized 4 aspects that need to be done to implement academic guidance. One is to "clear", clarify the student training plan, the credit status of each student, and the future development direction of the student. The second is to "stabilize", to help students graduate and find employment, communicate fully with students and counselors, and prepare academic counseling work to keep files. The third is to "promote" and promote the promotion of students. It is necessary to focus on leadership, including studies, competitions, postgraduate entrance examinations, employment, and internationalization, and further clarify career goals. The fourth is to "help", give more support in school, talk to one by one to grasp the students' ideological trends, study guidance and help are in place, and enhance students' trust in teachers.
At the end of the meeting, Ye Tao introduced the basic situation of the recommended exemption students from EIE in 2021, and explained the relevant work requirements. Academic tutors provide more encouragement and support to students who are willing and able to participate in the exemption.
Through this academic mentor work meeting, the college and the 2019 academic mentors and counselors further unified their thinking. Actively implement and promote the work mechanism of academic tutors, and make greater contributions to the university's "Three-Integrity Education" cultivation work.
