On the afternoon of November 25, in order to promote the undergraduate teaching work under the background of the integration of "new engineering" and "new agriculture" in schools and colleges, vigorously strengthen the construction of agricultural electrification. EIE held a lecture hall for academic advisors and professors in the 415 meeting room of the Electrical Building. Professor Jiang Hui, a professor of The School of Electrical and Information Engineering and a master's tutor, was invited to give a lecture on the theme of "the development status and future trends of smart agriculture". The event was hosted by Wang Yuanyuan of The School of Electrical and Information Engineering.

As a product of the deep integration of information technology and agriculture. Smart agriculture is a modern agricultural production method with information, knowledge, and equipment as the core elements. During the lecture, Jiang Hui first explained to the participants the importance of smart agriculture in the reconstruction of the current global science and technology innovation map, and explained the research background and current situation of smart agriculture. Subsequently, he cooperated with a clear and exquisite PPT presentation, and carried out concretely from three aspects of key technologies and applications in the field of smart agriculture, future trends and challenges, and team work and foundation. It described in detail the fact that smart agriculture has become the commanding height of modern agricultural technology competition in various countries and the practical factors for the future development of new forms of agriculture. Explained the perception technology of agricultural information, big data transmission and storage technology, intelligent control of farmland operation equipment, etc. At the end of the lecture, Jiang Hui briefly introduced the smart agriculture-related scientific research projects and scientific research results currently carried out by The School of Electrical and Information Engineering. Encourage students to actively participate in extracurricular scientific and technological innovation activities, enrich their after-school life, increase practical experience, and further improve their overall personal qualities.

The launch of the lecture hall for academic advisors demonstrated the distinctive research characteristics and disciplinary advantages of the Department of Agricultural Power. It has promoted the cultivation of agricultural electrification talents in the college, and provided strong support for the establishment of a normal exchange mechanism between teachers and students.

Jiang Hui is currently a professor at Jiangsu University, a master tutor, and a senior member of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering. In recent years, he has presided over or participated in more than 20 vertical and horizontal scientific research projects, including one from the National Natural Science Foundation of China. 2 tasks of the national key research and development plan. 1 general project of China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. 1 item of the Youth Project of the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province. 1 general project of China Postdoctoral Science Foundation.
