EIE held a 2020 academic tutor work meeting

On the morning of November 26, in order to strengthen the academic assistance work for the 2020 students, effectively promote the construction of the style of study, and implement the student-oriented education philosophy. EIE held a 2020 academic mentor work meeting in Conference Room 313 of the Electrical Building. Ye Tao, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the college, and 2020 professional instructors and academic mentors attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Ye Tao.

At the meeting, Ye Tao conveyed the spirit of the school-related work meeting to the participating teachers, and pointed out the list of students who need key assistance. He said that due to the implementation of online teaching in 2020 due to the implementation of epidemic control, students do have problems with maladjustment and poor self-control. Academic tutors and counselors should be more concerned about, promptly supervise, and sincerely help in place when they are in class or when they are alone. Encourage students to increase their confidence in learning and trust in teachers. He put forward five requirements for academic tutors and counselors: 1. Point-to-point conversation analysis, detailed and clear learning measures. 2. In terms of future development, guide and coordinate the study plan to help students establish appropriate postgraduate entrance examination and work goals. 3. Combine point and surface, grasp the two ends, push the middle, and be the guiding light for students. 4. The academic plan should be filled out in a strict and standard manner. Every semester, classmates should be reminded to take the initiative to find an academic tutor to communicate the study plan, and the academic planning should be done in detail according to the actual situation of each class. 5. Encourage class members and students with excellent grades to promote the progress of students with academic difficulties, and effectively help students with academic difficulties solve their problems, so that every student can successfully enter school and get a job. Finally, Ye Tao pointed out to the teachers that academic guidance is a long-term development work. On the one hand, counselors need to do a good job of traction and protection, and on the other hand, academic advisors need to coordinate with each other to strengthen communication in the process of guiding students.
