Vice President Mei Qiang conducts on-the-spot investigation on the School of EIE

On October 22, 2019, Mei Qiang, Vice President, Wang Qian, Director of the Academic Affairs Office, and Feng Jun, Deputy Director, conducted a site survey on the construction of new engineering of the School of EIE.

The meeting was presided over by the Vice President Gao Guoqin. Dean Gao introduced the background and requirements of the new engineering construction, the measures and achievements of the new engineering construction of the School of EIE, and proposed the main ideas and measures for the next step of promoting the construction of new engineering. And then, in charge of the professional characteristics, the responsible persons of various professions gave detailed reports on the achievements and problems encountered in the construction of new engineering. Moreover, the excellent teacher representatives reported from the aspects of online open curriculum construction, textbook construction, and the integration of production and education.

In the end, President Mei has put forward higher requirements for the construction of new engineering of our institute from the aspects including the micro-professional construction that meets the development requirements of the times and the new professional application that directly reflects the new engineering concept. He hopes that the School of EIE can speed up the development of new engineering and new agricultural sciences, and be a model for comprehensive and coordinated development of disciplines, scientific research, and personnel training.
