Our school won two first prizes in the final of the “2019 National College Students Artificial Intelligence and Robot Innovation Competition (Agriculture Group)”

On October 20, 2019, the “2019 National College Students Artificial Intelligence and Robot Innovation Competition”, hosted by the China Agricultural Engineering Society and jointly organized by the Agricultural Electrification and Information Branch and China Agricultural University, was held in Beijing (College of Information and Electrical Engineering, China Agricultural University) successfully. This competition takes high moral values establishment and people cultivation as the fundamental task, and strengthen and prosper agriculture as the responsibility. It builds an artificial intelligence and robot competition exchange platform to stimulate students' talents and skills, and improve the students' practical ability, which can strengthen their teamwork spirit, and cultivate more new talents who know and love agriculture.

Since the launch of the competition, the organizing committee has received entries from a number of universities across the country.

After the contestants’ defenses and works demonstration, the jury carefully reviewed and evaluated the competitions of the 14 teams participating in the finals. In the end, the "UWB based seedling loading intelligent car cluster system" and the "rice transplanting six legged seeding robot" projects, participated by students Yu Linqing, Gu Zijie, Li Meichen, and Wang Heng, Tong Jiageng, and Lu Hongping, and directed by teachers of Zhu Xiaoyong and Yang Ning of our school, won the first prize of the competition. Pro. Zhu Xiaoyong and Pro. Yang Ning won the honorary title of “Excellent Instructor” of the competition.
