Achievements of the Chinese and foreign academic Forum in School of Electrical and Information Engineering

On November 18, our faculty hosted the Chinese and foreign academic forum at the first hall. It was a complete success. The Chinese and foreign academic forum requires participants to make a wonderful speech in English which focus on the paper of their own professional direction. Attendees are Professor Zhiling Liao, deputy party secretary and assistant dean of School of Electrical Engineering; Professor Xiaoyong Zhu, assistant dean; Professor Tianhong Pan, department head. Other related teachers and graduate students also attended the forum. The forum not only has wonderful speeches of contestants from each school faculties, there are also many excellent poster exhibitions designed by students. Eventually, after the repeated comparison by judges, 21 outstanding posters, the best oral presentation and a number of excellent oral reporters released. 19 students of our faculty won the Outstanding Poster Award. Wang Lin won an Award for best oral presentation, Jintao Ju and Lei Qian won outstanding oral presentation award and School of Electrical Engineering was awarded the "Outstanding Organization Award."The success of the Chinese and foreign academic forum confirmed the teaching strength of our faculty. It not only created a good atmosphere for us to learn English, but also to a certain extent, have greatly improved students’ enthusiasm of communication in English and English speech.    On November 18, 2014, our faculty hosted the Chinese and foreign academic forum at the first hall.
