National Key Discipline - Agricultural Electrification and Automation

Introduction:

Agricultural electrification and automation discipline was established in 1960, is in the field of agricultural machinery design and manufacture of agricultural machinery testing and control research and agricultural electrification undergraduate basis developed on the basis of the country was only one of the two professional points, Is also one of the traditional advantages of Jiangsu University. After 50 years of construction, the discipline has made great progress and has become an important base for agricultural electrification, agricultural equipment automation research and personnel training in China. In 2000, the Department of Agricultural Electrification and Automation became the second Ph.D. degree of the discipline in the country. In 2001, it was awarded the "15th Five-Year" Key Discipline in Jiangsu Province. In 2006, it was again awarded the "Eleventh Five-Year" Key Discipline in Jiangsu Province. 2007 In the year was named the national "Eleventh Five-Year" key disciplines, in 2011 by the Jiangsu province colleges and universities construction of dominant disciplines.

Agricultural electrification and automation have formed three distinctive research directions: the automation and power quality of agricultural electrical equipment, the automatic control technology in agricultural biological growth and the information processing technology in agricultural engineering.

The discipline has always attached importance to personnel training and international academic exchanges and cooperation. Since 2006, more than 20 doctors and masters have been enrolled, and more than 1,000 professional and technical certificate classes and short courses have been held for enterprises. Many Ph.D. graduates have become industry leaders. In recent years, it has held three large-scale domestic and international academic conferences, went abroad to attend more than 60 important academic activities, participated in 5 international cooperation projects and received 6 visiting scholars at home and abroad.

Since 2006, the discipline has completed more than 30 national and provincial key scientific research projects, of which 8 are from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and 7 are from the "863" national programs. One direction: automation of agricultural electrical equipment and power quality control

Three directions: agricultural engineering information processing technology

At present, the research focuses on the direction: the research on the application of IoT in agricultural engineering; the research on the agriculture with the most material types; the growth status and environmental changes of fresh agricultural products through the Internet of Things; the storage and preservation; the quality and safety of circulation Equipment, machines and people are closely integrated with each other to solve the cost of intelligent sensors. The problem of efficient transmission of data on the sensor nodes of IoT and the application of wireless sensor networks in agricultural engineering are formulated.
